Tsjuder is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 1993. The band's name is derived from the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and refers to one of the wild tribes of Men in his legendarium. Known for their uncompromising approach to traditional Norwegian black metal, Tsjuder combines aggressive riffing, relentless drumming, and a dark atmosphere. Despite emerging during the genre's formative years, the band has remained faithful to an old-school black metal sound, earning a reputation as one of the most respected acts on the Norwegian scene. Their most notable releases include Kill for Satan (2000), Desert Northern Hell (2004), Legion Helvete (2011), Antiliv (2015), and Helvegr (2023).
