Troll is a Norwegian black metal project formed in 1992 by multi-instrumentalist Nagash (renowned for his work with Dimmu Borgir and The Kovenant). The outfit stands as a highly distinct entity within the second wave of Scandinavian black metal. Their early era is characterized by a unique, grim-fairytale atmosphere, raw production, and prominent, eerie keyboard symphonies, whereas later eras ventured into industrial textures. The definitive releases in the project's discography include the cult "Trollstorm over Nidingjuv" demo (1995), their landmark classic debut full-length "Drep de kristne" (1996), and the powerful back-to-roots album "Neo-Satanic Supremacy" (2010).
