Suicidal Winds is a fierce Swedish underground entity formed in 1992, dedicated to a raw and uncompromising style of black/thrash metal. While many of their compatriots at the time were defining the classic Swedish death metal sound or melodic black metal, this band looked back to the primal roots of the extreme scene. The music of Suicidal Winds is a frantic, filthy, and high-speed assault that draws heavy inspiration from the early works of Sodom, Celtic Frost, Bathory, and Venom. Their sound is packed with underground nihilism, aggressive old-school riffing, chaotic solos, and raw, snarling vocals. It is a brilliant display of sonic terror that completely ignores modern trends, remaining fiercely loyal to the grimy, unpolished ideals of old-school metal.
