Rift is a black metal band from East Corrimal, Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 2004 by musician Balam. The band’s style is atmospheric black metal with satanic and mystical themes. Members include Balam (vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, programming), A.S. (vocals), and TY (drums, former member). Rift was active between 2004 and 2007, then reformed in 2021. The band is affiliated with the occult circle Ordo Ater Anguis. Main release is To Quench the Thirst of Wolves (2021, reissued by Northern Silence Productions in 2023).
