Their style blends heavy metal and speed metal, closely tied to the NWOBHM movement. Known for their “athletic rock” stage antics, Raven gained recognition with albums like Rock Until You Drop (1981), Wiped Out (1982), and All for One (1983). They headlined Metallica’s first national tour in 1983 and influenced thrash metal pioneers such as Exodus, Testament, Overkill, Kreator, and more. With over 15 studio albums, highlights include Nothing Exceeds Like Excess (1988), Walk Through Fire (2010), and Metal City (2020).
