Impaled Nazarene is a cult Finnish extreme metal band formed in Oulu by brothers Mika and Kim Luttinen. The outfit stands as one of the most radical, controversial, and distinctive acts of the Finnish black metal scene. The band forged their own signature style, often self-described as "cyber punk black metal," combining high-speed, chaotic raw black metal with brutal grindcore intensities and aggressive punk rock energy. Their lyrical content is heavily fueled by absolute nihilism, dark humor, anti-Christianity, violence, war, and occult themes, which, combined with their uncompromising delivery, secured the band a permanent cult status in the global underground.
