Gromm is a Ukrainian black metal band from Chernihiv, formed in 2001. Rising from the depths of the underground, the band crafts raw, grim and fiercely misanthropic black metal soaked in hatred, philosophical cynicism and icy, oppressive atmosphere. Their music feels like thorns piercing through frozen soil — sharp, bitter and unforgiving. Key releases include the early demos Ferro Ignique and Nails for Gods, the mini-album In the Glare of Black, and the EP Obscurantism. Particularly notable is their full-length Sacrilegium — a cold, hateful masterpiece filled with raw aggression, melancholic melodies and a suffocating aura of nihilism that stands as one of the strongest statements in Ukrainian underground black metal.
