Gris is a Canadian atmospheric depressive/suicidal black metal / post-black project formed in 2006 in Montreal, Quebec, by the duo Icare and Neptune (originally operating under the name Niflheim). The act stands as one of the most prominent and revered entities within the Métal Noir Québécois movement. The project's sonic signature seamlessly fuses agonizing black metal intensity with delicate acoustic arrangements, classical music influences, cello, and acoustic guitars.
