Depressive Silence був заснований RAL та B.S. з гурту Mightiest у 1994 році. Гурт є одним з культових колективів і предтечею жанру Dungeon Synth, поряд з Mortiis і Jim Kirkwood.

When Depressive Silence broke up and RAL and B.S. created their own projects in the style of Dungeon Synth, B.S. founded Solanum, and RAL - Gothmog. Thus, they became the successors of Depressive Silence in the 90s, and their releases are also reissued by Northern Silence in remastering and with new exclusive design by artist David Thiérée.

Gothmog released only one demo called "Medieval Journeys" in 1998. It contained 7 songs in the style of old-school Dungeon Synth, which, without a doubt, will appeal to fans of Depressive Silence. This reissue also includes an intro that was not in the original release.
