Depressive Silence was founded by RAL and B.S. from the band Mightiest in 1994. The band is one of the cult bands and the forerunners of the Dungeon Synth genre, along with Mortiis and Jim Kirkwood.

When Depressive Silence broke up and RAL and B.S. created their own projects in the style of Dungeon Synth, B.S. founded Solanum, and RAL - Gothmog. Thus, they became the successors of Depressive Silence in the 90s, and their releases are also reissued by Northern Silence in remastering and with new exclusive design by artist David Thiérée.

Gothmog released only one demo called "Medieval Journeys" in 1998. It contained 7 songs in the style of old-school Dungeon Synth, which, without a doubt, will appeal to fans of Depressive Silence. This reissue also includes an intro that was not in the original release.
