Gomorrah was a death metal band from Oxfordshire, UK, formed in 1990. Their style blended death and thrash metal with a dark atmosphere. Early demos included Embryonic Stages (1991) and Umbilical Divorce (1992). In 1994, they released their debut album Reflections of Inanimate Matter. Their second and final album, Caress the Grotesque (1996), marked the end of their career before splitting up in 1997. Lineup: Sven Olafson (vocals, †2014), John Clark (bass), Fran Robinson (drums), Jose Griffin (guitar), Mike Prior (guitar). Gomorrah performed alongside Cancer and other UK death metal acts, contributing to the early British death metal scene.
