Diabolicum is a Swedish industrial black metal band formed in 1999 in Sundsvall (originally active under the name Imperial from 1994 to 1998) by guitarist and composer Sasrof. The outfit stands as one of the most uncompromising representatives of the European industrial black metal scene. The band's sonic signature merges the cold, devastating aggression of Swedish black metal with harsh mechanical rhythms, grim synthesizers, and cold industrial samples. Conceptually and lyrically, the band is strictly dedicated to themes of warfare, total destruction, Satanism, misanthropy, and the apocalypse.
