Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult is a German-Polish black metal band formed in 1997. They are known for their raw, orthodox sound reminiscent of early Scandinavian black metal. Vocalist and guitarist Onielar (real name Yvonne Wilczynska) has become a prominent figure in the genre thanks to her charismatic and uncompromising style. Their debut album «Follow the Calls for Battle» (2001) established their reputation, while later releases — «Nocturnal March» (2004), «Hora Nocturna» (2006), «Saldorian Spell» (2009), «Necrovision» (2013), and «Mardom» (2019) — cemented their position as one of the most important bands in modern black metal.
