Dark Ages is a Ukrainian musical project from Kharkiv in the genres of Dark Ambient and Dungeon Synth, created in 2004 by Drudkh and Hate Forest frontman Roman Saenko to recreate the gloomy, majestic, and mystical atmosphere of medieval Europe. The project existed until 2012, releasing several conceptual instrumental albums about the Inquisition, plague epidemics, and historical tragedies, utilizing minimalist keyboard melodies and dark soundscapes to create a deep, immersive experience.
