Bloody Valkyria is a Finnish atmospheric/melodic black metal project formed in 2024 by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Jere Kervinen. The act quickly captured attention within the underground metal scene due to its prolific release output, cinematic ambiance, and seamless blend of epic black metal with folk, power metal, and neoclassical influences. The project's sonic signature is defined by high speeds, soaring guitar leads, melancholic synth soundscapes, and rich melodic hooks reminiscent of Saor, Cân Bardd, and Moonsorrow. Lyrically and conceptually, the project spans fantasy/gaming lore (notably the universe of Elden Ring) as well as deeply personal themes of grief, solitude, northern landscapes, and human struggle.
