Black Witchery is a cult American black/death metal band formed in 1990, the band was named Irreverent from 1991 to 1996, then changed their name to Witchery from 1996 to 1999. As there were other bands of the same name, in 1999 the name was then changed to Black Witchery. The band is known for its raw, barbaric, and chaotic sound, blending war black metal with brutal death metal. Black Witchery are recognized for their uncompromising atmosphere, apocalyptic and destructive lyrical themes, and collaborations with other radical bands.
